A successful Saturday morning trawl through the ever increasing charity shops of Rotherham has bourne good fruit. The undisputed highlight being a mint copy of "Its Just Begun" by the Jimmy Castor Bunch, magic jazz funk from the early 70's and a major bargain at £1. (Pictured Left)
Some nice 7's including a very balearic Steve Winwood, some nice Stevie Wonder and some 80's Breakin sounds and a bit of the Stranglers.
On the album front Kraftwerk 2 and Minnie Riperton, Perfect Angel.
So all in all was a good raid picking up some very inexpensive gems, although it has to be said that the clientele of the charity shops of Rotherham leave a ,little bit to be desired!
They also seemed to be the busiest shops in the town too! Which says a lot about the place! Theres still plenty of Big Band Sounds albums, Roger Whittaker and Mantavani knocking about at discount prices if anyone is interested? I also managed to pick up what i thought was 19 by Paul Hardcastle but once home found out that the record inside the sleeve was in fact the Thomson Twins, but the B side is a very chilled Balearic number. Also managed to pick up a mint original copy of New Order, Blue Monday for a quid which you can never have enough copies of.
